    AS THE BOAT APPROACHES is a new play featuring warriors, sailors, dinosaurs, the creation of the universe, and two guys mysteriously stranded on a tiny desert island. No props, no set, just two actors and your imagination. 

    New York premiere at the 2011 NEW YORK INTERNATIONAL FRINGE FESTIVAL (www.FringeNYC.org).

  3. JUSTIN KURITZKES is a playwright, actor, and improviser. He was born in Los Angeles, California and has lived there for most of his life. He has won various playwriting contests, and his work has been featured in festivals across the country. These include: The 2011 Tennessee Williams/ New Orleans Literary Festival One Act Competition and the 2011 New York International Fringe Festival. His play Growth was a finalist for the 2011 National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. His short play Hawaii was performed for Edward Albee at a Playwrights Project benefit celebrating Mr. Albee’s 80th birthday in La Jolla, California in March 2008. Justin is currently a student at Brown University, where he studies Philosophy and Playwriting. He has been a member of the Dramatists Guild of America since January 2010.

  4. JONATHAN GORDON (left) recently graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in American Civilization. Favorite acting credits in college include Serge (Art), Chebutykin (Three Sisters), and El Fayoumy (The Last Days of Judas Iscariot). Jonathan’s four-year involvement with Brown’s only longform improvisation troupe, Starla and Sons, has fostered a deep engagement with improvisational comedy. In April of 2011, Jonathan performed his first solo show at Brown University, The Real Realness of the Real Orange County. He is currently performing in The Killing of Michael X, a New Film By Celia Wallace, as part of the Brown/Trinity Playwright’s Repertory.

Justin was a member of Starla & Sons, Brown’s only fastpaced longform improv group, and appeared as Malcolm in the original production of As the Boat Approaches at Brown in November 2009. He currently lives in Brooklyn.
